CAST OF PLAYERS
Seaton Delaval Hall was the site for our Cast of Players projections on the north front of the hall, marking 300 years since the death of Sir John Vanbrugh. Bringing the joy, humour, decadence and drama of Seaton Deveral to life in a unique and spectacular projection mapped artwork - this was a show of the grandest proportions where today’s cast of players are waiting in the wings for their moment to shine.
Using as its start point the 300 wonderful portraits created by Richard Eyers in collaboration with today’s Seaton Delaval community, Vanbrugh’s iconic building became a vast magical toy theatre, staged and prepared by the flamboyant Delavals, with all their flair for theatrics contained within. Tumbling and rope dances, donkey races, feasts in stables, upside-down bedrooms, ducks and chickens on the loose; all of these play out within the theatre spaces, mapped to the architecture, and starring the participants within the photo portraits.
