2018 is building up already, with new work for Spectre Festival, Aberdeen, leading on from our work at Enlighten Bury telling the tale of King Orfeo, our second year with LightNight Oldham, and the triumphant return of Chinese New Year Liverpool, which continues the epic tale of Jingwei.
Treasure Island at the New Vic Theatre is running throughout December, featuring a wonderful treasure map that emerges across the unique space. We love working with the team there and the show is a must see piece for Christmas.
This year has seen us working closely with Clokkemaker on a series of interesting projects, from bespoke pieces in Oxford and Cambridge to a wraparound shadowplay installation for the opening of Principal Hotel Edinburgh. Work has begun on some exciting large scale pieces for 2018 so watch this space for more.
We were thrilled to be asked to create a mapped video artwork for the Virgin Trains Red Hot Awards, with Make Events. Featuring a history of the East Coast Mainline the piece explored the architecture of the Boiler Shop building in Newcastle, using the mezzanine space and spiral staircase. Further work with Make Events included an ever changing house piece for Swinton, and their events are always remarkable.
